The writers strike couldn't have come at a worse time for the women of Wisteria Lane. Ratings were up. The women were hot and once again DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES was a buzz-heavy water cooler show. But can the soap regain the strong momentum it built before the strike? That question will begin to be answered on July 8th when the series returns with the first of six new episodes for the remainder of the season. In case you forgot what happened! Bree (Marcia Cross) and Katherine (Dana Delaney) bonded; Gabrielle (Eva Longoria) got zip in her husband's will; and a tornado devastated the 'hood, leaving Carlos (Ricardo Chavira) blind. Speaking of Carlos, Gabby will learn that her ex is permanently blind. Meanwhile, Susan (Teri Hatcher) helps Mike (James Denton) through rehab, Lynette's (Felicity Huffman) potential boy toy (Jason Gedrick) is back and Edie (Nicollette Sheridan) will be on the outs with the gals.
