TV Configuration Instructions

Showtime customers can now enjoy Sports and Movies in Widescreen. For some televisions this may cause black bars above or below the picture. Here are some simple instructions to set up your TV for Showtime viewing.

These instructions are for Showtime’s UEC and Coship Decoders. If you have a SHOWBOX, please call our Customer Contact Centre for detailed settings and instructions.

  1. Press Menu on your remote control
  2. Use the ↕ arrow keys to Select Option 7 Advanced Options from the menu
  3. Use the ↕ arrow keys to Select Option 4 TV Installation and press OK
  4. On Security Check Screen enter the PIN Code 9949
  5. Use the ↕ arrow keys to Select Option 2 Aspect Ratio and press OK
  6. Press OK to select Option 1 Aspect Ratio

Continue using the instructions relevant to your type of TV.

Regular TV

  1. Use the ↔ arrow keys to select 4:3 and press OK.
  2. Use the ↕ arrow keys to select Option 2 Video Mode and press OK.
  3. Use the ↔ keys to select Centre Cut and press OK.
  4. Use the ↕ arrow keys to select Option 3 Accept these settings and press OK.
  5. Continue pressing Exit until you return to TV Picture.

To view in Widescreen, LCD/Plasma

  1. Use the ↔ arrow keys to select 16:9 and press OK.
  2. Option 2 Video Mode is automatically set to Auto
  3. Use the ↕ arrow keys to select Option 3 Accept these settings and press OK.
  4. Continue pressing Exit until you return to TV Picture.

 

Language Settings:

To change your Audio Language preference, use your remote control and press:

  1. Menu
  2. Select Language Options
  3. Select Language – default language will be displayed
  4. Press OK and use arrow key to change default if required
  5. Press OK to confirm
  6. Accept these settings
  7. Exit to return to TV
